The King's Church, Epsom

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. Romans 1:16

We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20

Who are we?

The King's Church is made up of people who love God. We have over 20 different nationalities in our church and we love to see and meet new people. We have discovered in Jesus forgiveness of sin and freedom from guilt, peace of mind and eternal security, a new joy and power for living and a wonderful awareness of God's love for us.

What is our desire?

Our desire is to build authentic relationships. We seek to be family to one another, loving each other as Christ loved us. We are not an exclusive or reclusive group of people. Anyone is welcome at The King's Church. Whether you are young or old, rich or poor or in-between, married or single or divorced or widowed, Jesus welcomes you and so do we!

When to arrive

If it's your first visit then it's probably best to turn up around 10.20am. If you are driving then you'll be pleased to hear that there is free parking, although the car park does fill up quickly. We also have two disabled parking bays. Please see 'How to find us' for more information. When you arrive there will be members of our welcoming team to introduce themselves, provide you with information and show you where to go.

What to wear

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We are an informal church and accept people as they are. You do not need to dress up you come in a suit and tie, jeans and a baggy T-Shirt or in an African costume. We don't mind!

What to expect

There is no need to feel nervous about visiting our church, we all know how you feel, we have all had our first morning at a church! The music, which forms a greater part of our worship time, is very contemporary and modern. The worship time is for us to express our love and thanks to God. At times, it can be loud and joyful; at other times it is quieter and more reflective. The band is a mixture of vocalists, guitars, violin, keyboards, and drums. We encourage people to sing along. Sit when you want to sit. Stand when you want to stand.

Normally following a time of worship there will be preaching from the Bible. These messages are relevant to our lives today. You won't need to walk away from our church service trying to make sense of what the preacher has said. We take the teachings of the Bible and turn them into challenges for daily living. Challenges that you'll understand, and challenges that will lead you to a deeper understanding and relationship with God. After the service, tea and coffee are available for you to enjoy and meet new people.

What we believe

We believe that the Bible is true and that God has made himself known to us through his Son, Jesus Christ who is alive today. We see Jesus healing the physically and emotionally ill through the power of the Holy Spirit, restoring and renewing families and bringing young and old into a new and living relationship with God.

Do We Have a Hidden Agenda?

Our church exists for a reason. We enjoy spending time together and meeting new people, but the central focus is on a relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that there's more to life than meets the eye. There's something incredible that happens when a person asks Jesus to come into their life. There's a difference in their heart. They have a new hope, joy, peace and purpose. We'd like everyone to experience this abundant life. At King's we don't use pressure tactics, and there's no secret agenda. We just want to see people experience the love of Jesus Christ. It's our desire to see people make that choice for themselves.

Is it just Sundays?

NO WAY!!!!! God is with us 24/7 and we aim to lead lives pleasing to him. We're not perfect and we do make mistakes, but we desire to make a positive difference in everything we do. There are other meetings run during the week. Please read 'Meeting Times' for more information.

For those with disabilities

We aim to be an all inclusive church. Our premises are accessible for those with disabilities. We have parking spaces near the entrance, and toilets are easy to get to. We also have an induction loop for the hearing impaired. If we are missing something, and you need it then please ask and we will do our best to help you.
