Update From Germany: June 2022

Junepic3 - COPY
Great to know that we are already half way to the year that started only yesterday, so to speak. It is almost a year since we relocated to Germany. All glory and honour be to the LORD almighty for HIS mercies, love and blessings. If we have anything to boast about, it is the grace of GOD through HIS Son JESUS Christ who have given us the ability to stick with it up till now (Galations 6:14). Between the last report and now, our way of living has changed quite a bit. We give all glory to the LORD that I have been able to get a freelance job that have allowed me to get a resident permit. Language: We continue to attend evening language lessons and do online study. Our language proficiency is still far from where it should be but we trust GOD to continue to help us.

Junepic2Integration:

We continue to maintain a healthy relationship with our neighbours and with our new friends from the church. We meet once a month to fellowship, pray and encourage each other. The LORD has blessed and continues to bless us through this fellowship. We are also continuing to get blessed by their support and help to make our stay among them  comfortable. In the church, we have made a few friends and continue to culture the relationships. In this light, we had planned to start a cell group based on the church initiative. We had planned and prepared our welcome notes for the start date. On the week of registration all the intended cell groups will be introduced to the church for the members to select their spiritual need. We were not able to start a group because we did not meet the required participation numbers so we joined another cell group. Our participation in the cell group have been a blessing to us.

Junepic5By the grace of GOD, we have been introduced to the African churches’ union here in Hamburg Germany
where we have attended leadership conferences (see picture) and connected with some Nigerian, Ghanian and Togolese Pastors. These Pastors have challenges they face but have found a forum to discuss them. We have joined a networking system where we hope to support in helping the diaspora churches and local German churches find synergy to work together for the saving of souls. We hope to update you all more on this as we continue to pray and things unfold. The challenge we have is that the church in Germany, as well as Europe, is shrinking fast. The challenge for us is so big that our generation may not be able to rip the fruit. But the LORD will use us to lay the right foundations and support for the gospel to remain  relevant in the future of Europe. We are also still working with AN (All Nations) to reach the Afghanistans, Iranians, and now Ukrainians refugees. We are doing this first to identify with their needs and then, when the opportunity presents itself, introduce them to JESUS Christ. Please pray along with us because language is key to our ability to effectively accomplish all these but we trust the LORD completely. These will take time but the LORD will help us.

Friedenskirche (Church):

The church is growing and the pandemic effect have relaxed a bit, so more people returned to church. The online church still continues as we do in Kings Church so this seems to be the new norm for western churches. This is working as it helps the church to reach more people who wanted to be a part of the church programmes. GOD has been good to us and HE has continued to
teach us personally through his word. Praise GOD. Again, we would like to say a massive thank you to the Kings church Family and all you lovely friends that have committed to support us in counselling, prayers and giving. We never stop thanking GOD for you. The LORD will bless you all greatly in JESUS name.
